What is with these headlines?

White House unwilling to release all Roberts documents

So goes the Strib headline. It could have just as easily have read: "Democrats Seek to Denigrate Client Privilege". Or maybe, "Democrats Document Demand Illegal", or Democrat Promote Violation of Ethics". But the Strib is incessant on making the White House look like the bad guys at every turn. We can only wait and see if the Strib gets on the "release the documents" bandwagon. Particularly with this little gem buried in the article:

The committee has yet to make a request. But some Democrats, including Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, have urged the White House to release such documents "in their entirety.''

Gee, Sen. Kerry, you were urged to release your miltary records "in their entirety" last summer. The reason was and still is because there were so many things the American people didn't know about you. They're still waiting.

Of course the Dems would simply say that they are just asking for the documents. If they were actually provided then those who provided them would be guilty of violating the attorney-client privielge.

Too bad the Dems can't find it within themselves to push that kind of rhetoric towards, I don't know, the enemies of the U.S.? Maybe a statement like, "The American people will not be satisfied until there is a complete cessation of terrorist activity in Iraq, Israel, and every country in the world. Any legitimate organization is welcome to plead their case to the United Nations." The only thing they seem to know anymore is ankle-biting partisanship. Who needs 'em.
