Now that conceal carry has passed, the Legislature needs to adopt this:

...it becomes clear that the new law simply codifies common-sense principles of self-defense, including the principle that violent criminals, not innocent victims, should be the ones at risk during a violent crime.

This is, of course, the intended effect of Florida's proposed self-defense law.

Basically, if someone breaks into your home, you don't have to cower in a corner anymore. Now you can open a barrel of whoop azz on 'em. And if their azz gets whooped over to the morgue no big hurt on you. You be a hero now, not a criminal. Straight up.
